Investment case for a sustainably financed WHO

For 75 years, the WHO has been the cornerstone of global health architecture and has played the leading role in improving global health during unprecedented improvements in human well-being and longevity.

We were privileged to support the WHO in designing their new Investment Case entitled - A healthy return: investment case for a sustainably financed WHO.

Our role was to support the planning and design of the investment case documentation and the supporting website and digital assets. The document is available in six languages.

According to a new analysis, the quantifiable return on investment in WHO is substantial. The cost of WHO in net present value terms over the 10 years, 2022–2031, is US$ 33 billion, and the public value created as a result of this investment, in the most conservative estimation possible, is likely to be between US$ 1.155 trillion and US$ 1.46 trillion. The resulting return on investment is at least US$ 35 for every US$ 1 invested in WHO.
