With the release of Sitecore 9 comes a lot of new features. We have selected just 3 of these features that stand out.
Sitecore Headless
Sitecore Headless separates out the creation and the management of content to allow content management in one application leaving design and delivery of this content to a sperate application. Decoupling the presentation from the content management allows frontend developers to work independently of the CMS. The Sitecore JavaScript Services(JSS) SDK allows front developers to build solutions using JavaScipt libraries and frameworks to rendering out the content delivered from the Sitecore REST API.
A headless CMS can allow cross device consumption of data; a mobile application along with a web application displaying the same content through the use of the Sitecore REST API.
Sitecore Cortex
Working in conjunction with the Experience Database(xDB) and XConnect, Sitecore Cortex utilises machine learning to further understand users decisions, interactions and behaviours and automatically suggests segments and personalization standards for them. Sitecore Cortex provides marketers with greater insights into customer data than before.
Sitecore Forms
Sitecore 9 comes with the Forms application available out of the box. The previous Web Forms for Marketers(WFFM) module is no longer required to be installed as a separate package to your installation. The Forms applications provides a great new drag and drop feature to build up the form inputs, validation and section elements. The multipage form option allows for splitting long forms into multiple paged to make for a better user experience.
