Introduction
Credit unions are financial co-operatives that allow their members to save and lend to each other. All Credit unions are not-for-profit and are owned by their members. Credit unions in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are represented by the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU).
Credit unions affiliated with the ILCU have 3.6 million members throughout the island of Ireland. The ILCU's website is a central channel for delivering services and support to its members.
Services Delivered
We partnered with the ILCU to redesign its online presence. The objective was to create a new digital platform that would underpin and support its membership, marketing, and communications strategy.
Our collaboration with ILCU’s business, marketing and IT teams focused on:
- creating the information and content architecture to present the business, its services and member proposition.
- designing the visual identity to align the brand and deliver a seamless experience across all devices.
- building the new website on Kentico, the digital experience and content management system.
- developing a range of bespoke loan calculators and member services, including a credit union locator and an affiliate portal for staff and volunteers.
- launching a blog to deliver tailored content to members & the public and grow awareness, increase lead generation and connect social channels.
- supporting the implementation of GDPR compliance.
- deploying the new platform onto Microsoft Azure to deliver a scalable and cost-effective cloud solution.
The new website, which was launched in 2017, is an important communications platform for the ILCU. The website has supported the ICLU in delivering a great experience to all its members and partners, helping to build trust and innovation in the financial services market.
